Two artists. One tufting frame.
Knot Unique Rugs is a two-artist studio in Parksville, BC. Seamus is a tattoo artist who picked up a tufting gun and never put it down. His partner is a fine artist with an eye for colour and composition that makes every design hit harder. Together they make custom hand-tufted wool rugs you can’t find anywhere else.
Seamus brings the bold line work — tattoo flash, pop culture, the kind of imagery that makes people stop mid-step. She brings the fine-art instinct: knowing when to push a colour, when to carve deeper, when a composition needs one more element to feel complete. The rugs are better for both of them being in the room.
They work in the best natural wool they can get their hands on, because it wears well and feels honestly good underfoot. Roses are a bit of a signature (you’ll see a few), but they love a strange commission — pop-culture pieces, pet portraits, glowing blacklight-reactive rugs, and custom-fit mats for people’s cars.
