Hi, I'm Seamus.

I'm a tattoo artist and rug maker in Parksville, BC. Same eye for line and colour — just a different, much fluffier medium.

Knot Unique Rugs started from a simple idea: a rug should be as personal as a tattoo. So I make them one at a time, by hand, from the best natural wool I can get my hands on. No two are alike — that's the whole point, and it's where the name comes from. Knot. Not. Unique.

Every piece gets drawn, tufted, carved and finished by me. I love the 3D-carved detail most — sculpting the pile so a design has real depth you can run your fingers through. It's the part most makers skip, and the part that makes a rug feel alive.

When I'm not at the tufting frame, you'll find me setting up tables at local craft fairs and farmers markets around Vancouver Island whenever I can find the time. Come say hi and feel the wool for yourself — your toes will thank you.
